Give the joy of pet parenthood

What We Do:

Some clubs deliver wine, fruit, or books, but how boring is that?! At Pet of the Month Club we deliver actual, live animals to your door every month. These new, surprise pets become beloved members of your family. Pets are proven to make us happier and healthier, but there are so many unique types of animals that make great pets. We curate diverse pets that are perfect for you and your family and deliver them straight to you each month.

We love what we do. Pet of the Month Club is the longest running pet club in the country for one reason: We deliver the best and most cherished pets!

Why give the gift of pets?

Pets are important to humans because they provide companionship, unconditional love, emotional support, can reduce stress, encourage physical activity, and can even improve mental health by offering a sense of purpose and social interaction; essentially acting as a source of joy and positive reinforcement in people's lives.

Why pets are important:

  • Emotional well-being:

Pets can alleviate loneliness, anxiety, and depression by providing affection and a sense of connection.

  • Stress reduction:

Studies show that petting a pet can lower cortisol levels (stress hormone) and promote relaxation.

  • Social interaction:

Pets can facilitate social interaction with other pet owners, creating opportunities to connect with others.

  • Sense of responsibility:

Caring for a pet can provide a sense of purpose and routine.

  • Child development:

Pets can be beneficial for children, teaching responsibility and fostering empathy.

Why own diverse pets?

  • There are many benefits to owning diverse pets, including:

    • Peace of mind

Having multiple pets at home can provide peace of mind, especially while you're working.

    • Playmates

Pets enjoy having playmates, and can learn from other pets in their environment.

    • Social interaction:

Certain pets, like birds or social reptiles, can encourage more interaction and social engagement with others.

    • Educational value:

Owning diverse pets can lead to learning about different animal behaviors and care requirements, fostering a deeper connection with the natural world.

    Examples of diverse pets:

    • Small mammals: Rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, rats

    • Reptiles: Snakes, lizards, turtles

    • Birds: Parakeets, cockatiels, finches

    • Fish: Various freshwater and saltwater species

    • Invertebrates: Insects like stick insects and tarantulas

Our Pledge:

We source our pets ethically, ensure they're healthy, and match them to homes that can handle their unique personalities. Our team of animal matchmakers are trained to custom select the perfect pets for each home.
